DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce a joint initiative between our foundation\, 2 local rotary clubs (Thorpe Bay and Leigh) and Pronto training to provide free CPR and defib training for residents local to Southend. \nEach session will last for about 2 hours 15 minutes (with an interval of a about 20 minutes for teas and coffees). The first section will provide vital training on how to perform CPR on an adult. The second section will show how to safely use a defibrillator plus how to perform CPR on a baby or child. \nEach session will accommodate 30 people and will be fully funded by our foundation and the rotary clubs. \nThe sessions will be run by Pronto training\, a local first aid company who specialise in a variety of training programmes for all areas of first aid. \n\nAll the training will be provided FREE\nAll the training MUST be booked in advance (no walk-ins would be allowed)

SUMMARY:Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge – Saturday 12 September 2026
DESCRIPTION:  \nDo you fancy taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks next year whilst also raising money/awareness and potentially doing the challenge for free? \n\n\n\nIn September 2024\, 44 people attempted the 3 peaks over a weekend planned by our charity In September 2025\, 22 people attempted the 3 peaks over a weekend planned by our charity \n\n\n\nAm pleased to announce we will be organizing an identical weekend for September 2026:- \n\n\n\nFriday 11th September – travel to Yorkshire to stay at Crooklands Hotel\, Kendal – Home – Crooklands (a group meal will be arranged that evening in a private function suite) \n\n\n\nSaturday 12th September – starting at 7am\, our group will be guided across the 3 peaks by Lost Earth Adventures Lost Earth Adventures – Activities – Challenges . A buffet-style meal will be provided that evening at the hotel \n\n\n\nSunday 13th September – depart hotel \n\n\n\nThe cost for this weekend will vary from £200-£350 per person\, depending on transportation to/from your location to the hotel (our charity will lay on minibuses from Southend\, or you can make your own way to Yorkshire) and the size of the room you will be staying in for 2 nights (ie. Double\, twin\, sole occupancy\, etc). There are also 3 “family rooms” available which may be slightly more per person but specifics can be discussed on enquiry \n\n\n\nThe cost of the weekend also includes coach transportation between the hotel and the peaks\, and the provision of experienced guides to look after us on the Saturday \n\n\n\nBreakfast on the Saturday is early (we leave hotel at 6.15am) and will be a continental style breakfast. Breakfast on the Sunday is a full cooked (and well-deserved) breakfast \n\n\n\nThe offer we make to everyone on this challenge is that if you create a just giving page and raise the amount you have paid for your weekend\, our charity will refund you in full. This means people can effectively do the whole weekend for free \n\n\n\nEveryone on the walk will also be given a “Team Carli” charity shirt/vest to wear on the walk raising even more awareness for our charity \n\n\n\nThe weekends in 2024 and 2025 were a huge success (between the 2 weekends\, over £25\,000 was raised for our charity) and we know 2026 will be the same \n\n\n\nTo register your interest\, or to find out more\, please message us or email: info@carlilansleyfoundation.org.uk \n\n\n\n
