1st ECG screening in memory of Carli to be held in June 2019

Huge, huge, HUGE announcement.

It is with great pride that I can confirm the 1st ECG screening in memory of Carli will take place on Saturday 15th June 2019 at Roots Hall, Southend United.

The screening has been arranged through Cardiac Risk In The Young (CRY) and the reason it is June 2019 is that they require 12 months notice. However, we are already well on our way to arranging our 2nd screening, which will be held in September 2019 at another venue (to be announced) also in the Southend area. Our target is to hold a minimum of 4 screening days every year.

The screening at Roots Hall will enable 100 people (aged 14-35) to receive a free ECG. As the screening is being held in memory of Carli, we are given a two-week ‘priority’ window for bookings before they are made publicly available.

With this in mind, if you (or anyone you know) would like to have an ECG screening, please message me and we will compile a list of people who can take advantage of the ‘priority’ window. Please note, however, that no bookings are likely to be made available to anyone until about March/April 2019 when full details will be announced.

Our huge thanks go to EVERYONE who has supported us since we started our fundraising in February.   Without you, this simply wouldn’t have been possible.

Our huge thanks also go to everyone at Southend United FC, particularly Rhys Ellingham (Commercial Director), for agreeing to host our first screening day and for being so supportive of our aims. As many of you know, the kids and I have a huge affection for Southend United (as did Carli) and it is incredibly poignant to us that our first screening day will be held there.

A VERY, VERY proud day for me and the family
