On Monday 20 June, the kids and I were beyond honoured to be invited to meet Ronan Keating for a photo to help raise awareness of our Foundation before his concert at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend
We were also delighted to be asked to watch the concert as VIP guests of his management
A huge ‘Thank You’ to all Ronan’s management team for making this possible
To be able to get a photo with Ronan was so incredibly poignant:-
1) Carli absolutely adored Ronan
2) “No Matter What” was one of the first songs Carli and I danced to at our wedding
3) Ronan’s former bandmate Stephen Gately also died of an undiagnosed heart condition so we knew our charity (and the tragedy that formed it) would resonate with Ronan
It was an amazing evening! It was an amazing concert! It was also an incredly poignant evening as so many of the songs reminded me of Carli, especially “No Matter What”, “When You Say Nothing At All” and “Baby, Can I Hold You Tonight?”
